Leaving wins the Alfred Radok Award for best Czech play of 2008
Václav Havel's new play was named last year's best. The performance, which premiered at Archa Theatre in May 2008, also won an award for best stage setting.
"I have received many awards and I always say that I am touched and surprised and how grateful I am. This award is different. I say the same things, but this time I really mean it," said Havel in his acceptance speech. Leaving was also awarded in the best stage setting category by 66 critics. The award was accepted by David Radok and Jaromír Vlček.
